Your data serves only you. We do not sell it, we show no advertising, and we never use it to train anyone else's model. You can export or delete everything at any time. The rest of this page is the detail behind that promise.
What we access
To sign you in, your Google profile: name, email, and picture. To build your brief, your Gmail messages, read only, and your Calendar events, read only. Anything you choose to forward in. We request the narrowest permissions that let the brief work, and nothing that lets us send, change, or delete on your behalf unless you grant it later, one capability at a time.
How we use it
Only to read your mail and calendar, lift out what matters, and deliver your brief and the features you turn on. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it. That is the whole of it.
Google user data and Limited Use
Morning Brief's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Gmail or Calendar data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized or standalone AI or machine learning models. Humans do not read your Google data except with your explicit consent for support you request, where needed for security, or where required by law.
Who helps us process it
We use a model provider to write the prose and classify what is signal, and an email provider to deliver your brief. Each receives only what a given feature needs, processes it only to serve your brief, and is bound not to use your data for its own purposes. We do not sell your data to anyone.
Storage and security
The tokens that connect your accounts are encrypted. We cache only what a receipt needs, so the proof behind a brief survives even after the raw message body is purged. Access to your data is restricted and logged.
Keeping and deleting your data
You can export everything or delete everything from the app. Deletion removes your records and cached receipts, purges stored raw payloads, and revokes the tokens you connected. We keep your data only as long as your account is active or as the law requires.
Revoking access
You can disconnect a source inside Morning Brief, or remove its access entirely from your Google Account permissions page, at any time. Revoking stops all further reading immediately.
Children
Morning Brief is built for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product grows. For material changes we will give notice in the brief or by email, and update the date at the top of this page.
